Trail & Permit Update

As of today, the Vivian Creek, Momyer, and San Bernardino Peak trailheads, along with all associated wilderness campgrounds, have been added back to the permit system.

However, please be aware:

  • Trail Access: All other trailheads remain closed. There is currently no access to those areas.

  • Highway Closure: Highway 38 remains closed from Angelus Oaks to Lake Williams Road in Big Bear. This means access to trailheads beyond this stretch is not available at this time.

We will continue posting updates here as soon as more information becomes available from Caltrans and the Forest Service.
