Many species of Lupine (Lupinus ssp.) are found in dense patches like this one throughout moister, shadier areas of the San Gorgonio Wilderness. This patch was photographed in the upper Fish Creek area. This is one of the larger species present in the Wilderness. Some Lupinus species can be considerable smaller. photo by Michael Gordon |
