mid-summer extravaganza under the pines. A few featured events and talks will be Wilderness
Survival, Smokey Bear, crosscut log sawing (a hit with the kids!) plant and animal
identification, geology & taxidermy, children's crafts (always a hit!),
Forest Service Fire Engine and Crew,
Wildlife art,
and our prize drawing with many great items to be won.

The Barton Flats Visitor Center is located in a
quiet part of our forest at the 6300 feet elevation on the northern edge of the San
Gorgonio Wilderness. It is about a 45 minute drive east of San Bernardino, approximately
30 miles from Redlands. The Visitor Center is open mid-May through mid-October, Wednesdays
through Sundays from 8am until 430pm.
